LETTERFORM PILLOW

Looking to Team Thursday’s brick-inspired patterns for their project “Seoul City Sampling” (2017), we designed four patterns based on textures found around Seattle.

We chose the letter Z after coming across TT’s installation “Was It a Cat I Saw?” (2022), which uses the former palindromic phrase as a pattern for a curtain. Since the pillow is printed on all sides, it can be flipped around to be displayed at all different angles.

In order to create our own pattern on the fabric, we screen-printed sheets of cotton to then be cut into the pieces that would make up the pillow.
