KEEP IT TOGETHER


KIT is a new ultra-repairable, modular, and expressive footwear concept. Balancing self‑expression with environmental responsibility, the three‑part system can be quickly separated to swap out styles, while making repair and recycling much simpler. Highly functional without sacrificing style, KIT helps you feel good about your footprint.

The project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between Industrial and Visual Communication Design. The shoe system, designed by Olivia, consists of a recycled EVA foam sole, an interchangeable upper silhouette, and a silicone cage piece to hold everything together. Customers can mix and match these pieces in order to create their perfect KIT, and avoid having to say goodbye to favorite pieces too soon. It is accompanied by a bold, modular brand system designed by me and Sarah. The visual identity calls upon the customizable and expressive nature of the shoe itself, featuring a series of assets—from modular packaging and a mini-publication to symbols and infographics—all relating back to the form-based logo. KIT encourages a fun yet considered approach to footwear.















 

KEEP IT TRANSPARENT


Every season, KIT releases a mini-publication detailing new styles and project goals. The custom illustrations and infographics allow customers to feel a heightened confidence about where their shoes are coming from and going.













KEEP IT THOUGHTFUL


Just like the product it represents, KIT’s logo features modular pieces that break down into useful constituent parts. These form an array of playful yet considered symbols and patterns that support KIT’s bold color scheme and brand voice.






                  
















KEEP IT TRICKED-OUT


The inaugural KIT series features four options for uppers ranging from comfortable mules to hike-ready boots. Customers can build their own KIT to suit their personal style and day-to-day needs.
